Car Crashes Into Nashville’s Legendary Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, “Closed Indefinitely”

Is nothing sacred anymore?

Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack is a Nashville institution. Dubbed the “Original Hot Chicken,” Prince’s has been in business for over 70 years. According to the Tennessean, an SUV slammed into their building early Friday morning causing serious damage to several businesses, including a fire in Prince’s.

No one was reportedly injured, but Semone Jefferies, whose mom has owned Prince’s for 38 years, said the Nashville icon would be closed “indefinitely.”

Tyreese Lawless, an employee, was inside when the SUV hit the building two doors down.

“I heard big bangs, ‘Boom-boom, boom-boom!’ It was like the police knocking on your door,” Lawless said. “I immediately came outside and saw the smoke.”

What the shit… can’t even get hot chicken anymore without someone driving a car into the restaurant. They also have a second location in south Nashville, but when they’re back on their feet, I highly recommend hitting up the OG location. I mean, look at this…

Beautiful.

Whiskey Riff is the most entertaining country site…ever.
