A little bit country, a whole lot of rock and roll…

Sounds like my kinda concert.

The Rolling Stones are headed out this weekend for the first stop on their summer tour, which is in support of their 2023 Hackney Diamonds album, kicking off on Sunday evening in Houston, Texas.

Core members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood will perform in 16 different cities over the next several months, where they’ll play a combination of classics, deep cuts and some tunes songs from their aforementioned new album, as well.

And what’s even cooler, they’re taking along some of the best country acts in the business to open select dates, including Tyler Childers, Lainey Wilson, Red Clay Strays and The War and Treaty. If that’s not a milestone accomplishment for each one, I don’t know what is…

I would do unspeakable things (kidding, kind of) to see Tyler open for the Stones:

“We are pleased to announce the lineup of artists who will be joining the Rolling Stones on their US Tour! Please give them a warm welcome!”

Seriously, a dream:

Last year, Lainey and The War and Treaty were also featured on the Stoned Cold Country covers album, which was a tribute to The Rolling Stones in honor of the iconic rock band’s 60th anniversary.

According to Producer Robert Deaton, the project was meant to be country music’s “thank you” to the Stones, which has influenced so much of this genre, as well, so I know it will be even more special for them to be part of a show like this.

“You Can’t Always Get What You Want” – Lainey Wilson

“It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll (But I Like It)” – Brothers Osborne & The War And Treaty
