Deep fried and boozy… two of my favorite things.
In fact, there’s quite literally nothing that can beat the feeling of walking into a fast food restaurant at 3am, drunk off your ass, just knowing that you’re about to put down $17 worth of delicious fried food. yeah, you’ll be paying for it tomorrow, but in the moment, it’s the best.
In the spirit of that, let bring them both together with these deep fried Jack and Coke balls.
First you have to make the whiskey balls. Here’s what to do:
Stir together first 3 ingredients until blended. Cover and chill 8 hours.
Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Gently press pecan halves into 2 sides of each ball. Chill 8 hours.
Melt chocolate and shortening in a saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat. Dip bourbon balls in chocolate, and place on wax paper.
Chill 1 hour or until hardened.
