Start The Day Off Right, And A Little Buzzed, With Whiskey Maple Syrup

I’m putting this on everything.

Breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day, people. Might as well throw some whiskey in there, right?

Some people drizzle syrup on pancakes, waffles, sausage, anything! As long as its got whiskey in it, I’ll put it on everything. You’re lying if you say you don’t want to try this. Here you go…

What you need: 

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 and ⅓ cups sugar
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. whiskey
  • 1 tsp. maple extract (or maple flavoring)

How to make it: 

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk all ingredients together and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Whisk occasionally and simmer for 20-25 minutes until syrup has thickened.
  2. Pour over pancakes or waffles and serve immediately. You can store extra syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for several months
