After announcing the his upcoming album Lifers was finished and would be hitting shelves sometime in June, fans were starting to wonder why we haven’t heard anything. After all, we’re only about a week away from June and no pre-sale, no promotional single, no nothing.
Today however, Cody announced that he signed a record deal with Rounder Records (The SteelDrivers, Ruston Kelly, Blackberry Smoke) with his label debut Lifers dropping July 27th. Additionally, the lead single from the new album, “Must Be the Whiskey,” is due out on June 15.
“I set out to find a great partner to license my new album to – a record company that believed in my music and my vision, ” said Jinks. “I definitely found that with Rounder Records.”
