I think it’s safe to say that the legendary George Strait has had a hangover or two in his day.

Currently, he is the part owner of an amazing tequila brand called Código Tequila, and although he doesn’t party like he used to, he doesn’t mind having a stiff drink every now and then.

So what’s his go-to hangover cure…

No, not the music of Menudo, the Puerto Rican boy band from the ’80s, but rather the popular Mexican tripe soup. In case you didn’t know, tripe is actually stomach.

According to an interview with the DailyBeast, George let everybody in on his go-to hangover cure saying:

“Yeah. There is one and it’s called menudo. It’s tripe soup. It’s very, very tasty.

When I happen to have the occasional hangover, which I try not to, if I can get some menudo that’s what I get.”

Looks pretty damn good, eh?

So there ya have it, come Monday or Tuesday, after you’ve spent the entire weekend drinking beer and sucking down red, white and blue Jello shots (and of course taking a little time to remember those who gave their lives to give us the freedom to do that), down a bowl of Mexican cow stomach soup.

Maybe a hair of the dog shot of tequila, and that’ll set you “Strait.”
