The wide world of hard seltzer is coming out swinging in 2020. White Claw is hitting us with brand new flavors, Bud Light AND Miller Lite have entered the chat, and not to mention Four Loko, PBR, and Natty Light are in the hard seltzer mix as well.
What’s Truly’s response? Hard seltzer lemonade, which just like the OG Truly, it only has 1 gram of sugar and 100 calories.
“We took the feedback from drinkers and created Truly Lemonade for those looking for more flavor than traditional hard seltzer yet not willing to compromise on calories, carbs or sugar,” said Casey O’Neill, Senior Manager of Product Development at The Boston Beer Company. “It really is the best of both worlds and brings together flavor and refreshment in a way that nothing else in the category does right now. Drinkers will have to taste it to believe it, but we’re confident they’ll love Truly Lemonade as much as we do.”
Truly Lemonade will be available nationwide starting this month in a variety 12-pack featuring Original Lemonade, Black Cherry Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, and Mango Lemonade flavors.
Honestly, I’m a White Claw guy. BIG White Claw guy. Adding a splash of lemonade to your Truly ain’t gonna convert me anytime soon. But, you want to give your seltzer the Arnold Palmer (more like John Daly) treatment and call it groundbreaking, more power to ya.
