I get more and more excited for this new Colter Wall record with every release.

And he has a great new one out everywhere today called “For A Long While,” which was of course a solo write by Colter where he finds himself reflecting on the good life on the prairie and the little things that matter to him, like a great guitar, a timeless song, rest after a hard day’s work, and his wandering spirit that makes him feel alive.

It’s the third single from his forthcoming Little Songs album, which features two other previously released songs in “Corralling the Blues” and a cover of Hoyt Axton’s “Evangelina.”

After almost three years without a new project, I think we’re in for something really special with this new album, which is slated to drop here very soon on July 14th:

“New single ‘For a Long While’ is out today on all streaming platforms. Hope you folks enjoy it and thanks for your support.”

This will also be the first album he’s released since signing a deal between his current, indepdenent label La Honda and major label RCA Records.
