NASCAR Cameraman Caught Zooming In To Get A Closer Look At The Ladies

We see you Mitch…

NASCAR on FOX has taken a lot of criticism for their Cup Series race coverage this year, from horribly timed commercial breaks to zoomed-in camera angles that end up missing some of the best action on the track.

And it seems that one cameraman may have his eye on other things as he’s looking through the lens.

During the pre-race coverage for today’s Würth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, FOX analyst Larry McReynolds was in his studio with the monitors in the background showing the various camera shots.

But eagle-eyed viewers noticed that one camera seemed to be focused on something other than the racetrack.

A monitor labeled “Mitch” showed the camera zoom in on some ladies that apparently caught the cameraman’s eye, before zooming back out to get back to the job at hand.

Of course Mitch might be the cameraman who’s assigned to get crowd shots, but the quick zoom in and out to go back to the track was pretty funny as it made it look like Mitch was just trying to get a glimpse of the scenery in the stands.

I mean hey, you’ve got that powerful zoom, might as well use it.

Denny Hamlin ended up taking home the trophy after holding off a hard-charging Kyle Larson in the closing laps. But it seems like Mitch might have been the real MVP.
