Morgan Wallen Releases New ‘Dangerous Sessions’ Videos Of “Quittin’ Time,” “Wondering ‘Bout The Wind” And More

Morgan Wallen has been rolling out quite a few new videos from his Dangerous Sessions series, and today, we have four more.

Like I said about his “865” video, I really love the acoustic, stripped-back nature of these performances.

In my opinion, a lot of the production on his double album, Dangerous, overshadowed some of the songs, and even his voice, a lot of the time.

AKA… too pop…

The new performance video of “Quittin’ Time” isn’t all that different from the production on the album version, though, which was easily the most “country” song on the record. An Eric Church co-write (along with Luke Laird and Josh Thompson), it was immediately one of my favorite’s when he released the album back in January.

Morgan and Eric even sang it together for the first time just last month at a stop on Eric’s Gather Again Tour in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, when Morgan stepped in to sing a few songs after members of Eric’s band tested positive for COVID.

If you liked the studio version of this song, I think you’ll love the fully acoustic one:

“Wondering ‘Bout The Wind” was one of the other tracks that was a little bit lighter on production compared to most of the others on the record, but again, it sounds even better in this video with a truly acoustic backing.

I’ve always thought Morgan has such a strong, unique voice with just the right amount of twang, and you can hear that really well on the chorus of this song in particular.

He recently released live performance videos for “Livin’ The Dream” and “Dangerous” as well.

Written by Morgan alongside frequent collaborator and friend Ernest, you can go ahead and add it to the list of songs we need on a complete acoustic album of the Dangerous tracklist:

He also released an acoustic version of “Whiskey’d My Way.”

And “More Surprised Than Me.”
