Eric Church To Perform Solo This Weekend After Bandmates Contract COVID

Phew, I got nervous for a second.

It’s been like clockwork over the past two years. Artists having to cancel shows due to somebody within the band contracting COVID.

I’ve just gotten used to it.

Eric Church is in the midst of his soon to be legendary Gather Again Tour, touring for the first time since the pandemic began.

Although, this morning, he broke the news that a couple of his bandmates have contracted COVID, but he’s still going to play his shows in Pittsburg and Philadelphia. However, they’ll be a little different…

It’s going to be a live solo performance from the man himself.

His message read:

“Despite thorough safety protocols, a limited number of breakthrough COVID-19 cases have occurred within the Eric Church band.

In the best interest of everyone’s health and safety, Eric Church will perform this weekend’s shows in Pittsburg and Philadelphia as a special solo performance.

Get ready PA.”

This is awesome. Everybody knows ol’ Church doesn’t need a full band to deliver a song. All he needs is a mic and a guitar.

Puttin’ the whole show on his back… gotta love it.

If you remember back to CMA Fest 2019, Eric sent the band home and performed a 30-minute, 17-song acoustic medley completely by himself.

He’s got this.
