ZIMA Is Back and It’s About To Get LIT

Holy hell.

Just did a grocery run for the office and saw Zima…Zima? I had to do a triple take, and that’s when I realized the classic 90’s beverage was back for a limited time. First introduced in 1993, Zima was discontinued until 2008, until now.

MillerCoors is actually bringing Zima back – can you believe it? I can’t. The company reports in a blog post that the iconic, nostalgia-friendly 1990s clear malt alcoholic beverage hit shelves June 12, and will stay there until Labor Day.

“The 90’s have become the quintessential decade for nostalgia, so it’s time for the return of our 90s icon,” Tristan Meline, senior marketing manager for Zima, said in the post.

“The press coverage and consumer feedback has been incredible. We will support Zima with influential partnerships, retail activation and digital, all to entice consumers to try ‘Zomething different.'”

I shit you not, I have never tried Zima (shocking, I know), but we bought a six-pack for tonight’s podcast and things are about to get LIT.
