Spice Up Your Playoff Viewing Party With These Whiskey Grilled Wings

Anything with Jack Daniels in it…count me in.

Football and wings go together seamlessly, but the whiskey and wings combination is out of this world. We know you guys need some new recipes for these playoffs, so we delivered.

Jack Daniels. Whiskey. Grilled. Wings. You heard me right, now get cookin’.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 dozen chicken wings

For the sauce:

  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ¼ cup + 2 Tbsps. Jack Daniels (or any other whiskey)
  • ¼ cup Franks hot sauce
  • 3 Tbsps. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ¼ tsp. each black pepper, granulated garlic (or garlic powder)

9 easy steps:

  1. Make sauce by heating butter and in a medium sauce pan on medium heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, remove from heat and add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Bring to a simmer to reduce the alcohol.
  3. Prepare charcoal grill for indirect cooking with two piles of coal on opposite sides
  4. Once hot, place wings in the middle of the grate and add smoking wood to each pile.
  5. Smoke for 20 minutes
  6. Remove wings from grill and more coals to heat up.
  7. Place wings back on grill over direct heat and cook until you reach your desired crispiness level. This should be about 20 minutes!
  8. Once done, coat wings with sauce and serve hot.
  9. Enjoy!
