The world can be a tough place. Country music is making it better.

So many celebrities in the country music world spend their time and money on giving back to the community. Just about everyone has contributed in some way or another, but these six stick out in my mind for their dedication, impact and creativity.

Whether it’s something as big as going overseas or as simple as just making people smile, here are six times the men women of country music restored my faith in humanity.

Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation

It’s no secret that Miranda Lambert is a die-hard animal lover. Her MuttNation Foundation, founded in 2009, is a donation-supported organization with the mission to end animal cruelty, neglect, and homelessness.

Lindsay Ell’s “Busking On Broadway” Event

Lindsay Ell’s 24-hour “Busking on Broadway” event raised several thousand dollars in tips for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Despite the cold temperatures and constant rain, Ell stood strong and delivered the marathon performance for 24 hours straight.
