If You Want To Make A Great Super Bowl Commercial… Call George Strait

Today is the day.

We’ve seen a number of great Super Bowl commercials over the years, with brands shelling out millions and millions of dollars for just 30 seconds of airtime.

Is it worth it? I don’t know… for some companies (with good marketing teams) yeah, but for others, it’s like… what the hell are you doing?

This year, we’ve already seen Super Bowl spots from Lainey Wilson and Coors, an Uber Eats spot featuring Jelly Roll, and Bud Light is back in the mix with Post Malone and Peyton Manning.

But what I’m really hoping for is another one from the great George Strait.

During Super Bowl LVI two years ago, featuring matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams, King George appeared in what I assume was a local commercial in the Texas market, but by golly, if you want to win the Super Bowl ad game, call in the King.

Ol’ King George Strait was featured in a H-E-B (a Texas-based grocery store) ad, and I’d love to see him make a comeback again this year during the Super Bowl.

I mean, can anybody compete with George Strait?

The answer is no…
