Fans Are Using A VPN To Listen To The New Zach Bryan Album Early Because They Didn’t Want To Wait

I’ve found the kids who were always looking in their parents’ closets for Christmas presents.

It’s like Christmas Eve for a lot of country music fans today, with new albums from the Turnpike Troubadours, Zach Bryan and Morgan Wade all dropping tomorrow.

“A Cat In the Rain” is the first new album from Turnpike in six years, Zach Bryan fans are as hardcore as they come, and Morgan Wade is one of the best up-and-coming artists out there, so it’s understandable that everybody’s excited to hear all of the new music we’re being blessed with this week.

But some fans just couldn’t wait until midnight to hear the new releases…

People have discovered a creative work-around to listen to the new music as soon as possible: They’re using a VPN to connect to a different country where the album’s already been released.

Several fans have admitted that they’re already listening to Zach Bryan’s new self-titled album by changing their VPN to New Zealand, where it’s already Friday and they’ve already been blessed with latest from Zach Bryan or Turnpike.

And with my VPN set to New Zealand, I headed over to YouTube to see what was going on with the new Zach Bryan album – and sure enough the comments were filled with people who wanted an early listen:

There are plenty of VPN services out there, like ExpressVPN or NordVPN, so it’s not hard to use the clever trick if you just can’t wait. Full disclosure, I’ve done it myself in the past when there was new music dropping that I was anxious to hear…

And you’ve gotta admire the dedication of Zach Bryan fans.

I’m not saying you should do this, but if you want to get a head start on that new Turnpike album, or check out what Morgan Wade has in store (hint, they’re both great), well, now you know how to do it.
