Kane Brown Explains Why He Deactivated His Twitter: “It’s Taking Over My Life LOL”

Kane Brown is officially done on Twitter and Facebook… at least for foreseeable future.

He shared an Instagram story this morning explaining how his phone has been taking over his life and that he would like to focus more on music and family, at least until the next album. Of course, this entire social media controversy began when he tweeted a salty GIF in response to CMA Awards nominations that were released on Wednesday. Following criticism from us, along with a backlash from others on Twitter, he then deactivated his account entirely on Thursday.

Moving forward, his team will manage his Facebook and Twitter (which will most likely be reactivated fairly soon), however he will continue to be present on Instagram.

*UPDATE: Kane’s Twitter account has been reactivated.
