“Workin'” – Post Malone Drops Yet Another Teaser For His Forthcoming Country Music Project

Post Malone has the entire country music world sitting on their edge of their seat with all of these teasers.

It’s no secret that Post Malone is finally “going country” after years of saying he would do so when the time was right. And considering other artists like Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey have tested out the country genre, now seems like the perfect window for non-country artists to try out the southern sound.

He’s not going in alone either. Over the past couple of months, Post Malone has shared a number of different pictures and videos that show him working with the likes of Billy Strings, Ernest, Morgan Wallen, and even Luke Combs.

And in his most recent teaser, Malone can be heard name dropping Larry Franklin, an uberly talented and incomparable fiddle player in the country music industry. Franklin has played with Asleep At The Wheel, The Time Jumpers, and on projects for some of the biggest names in country (Reba, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and Shania Twain just to name a few). He also recently played on Hardy’s Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape, which featured Post Malone. Now, it appears he’ll be stepping in to help out Post Malone on his own project, and I’m sure a number of other great musicians will be in the studio as well.

The pop/hip-hop artist shared the video below with the caption “workin’,” which was accompanied by an emoji of two beer glasses clanking together. It sounds as if he’s working in the studio testing out different audio layers in what we can only assume is a song that will be featured on his upcoming country album.

Everyone in the comments of Post Malone’s post were supportive, but there does seem to be a lot of “release the music already” vibes. Country music fans will have to continue to be patient though, as the only updates on a potential project come in the form of these teasers that Post Malone sends out.
