This should be interesting.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album is due out everywhere tonight at midnight, and in some countries (like Australia and New Zealand), it’s already available.

And after the pop/R&B superstar revealed the tracklist for her country-inspired record yesterday, which features a reimagined version of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” it was confirmed today that Post Malone is featured on a song called “LEVII’S JEANS”:

She managed to keep most of the features very quiet, though seeing Post Malone on there really shouldn’t be all that surprising, considering he’s gearing up to release some sort of country project of his own in 2024. So far, he’s teased songs with Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.

And as I’m sure you’ve probably heard, much has been said and made about what Beyoncé’s project is in terms of the genre, but she said herself in a lengthy post on Instagram last week that it’s “not a country album,” but rather, “a Beyoncé album.”

But with Posty jumping into the country genre too, it should telling in terms of what’s to come after we get to hear “LEVII’S JEANS.”

Beyoncé has already made country history with the standout pre-released single “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which became her first #1 hit in country music when it debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart – the first time a black female artist has debuted at #1 on that chart. It also already topped the Billboard Hot 100 all-genre chart. She also already released “16 Carriages.”

Act II: Cowboy Carter is the second installment of her 2022 Renaissance album.
