That was a close one. If an animal has the name killer in it, you should probably try to stay clear of it. Talk about a scare though, especially for the folks standing there with their kids.

Killer whales are considered one of the smartest animals on earth, which is crazy considering their massive size. These beasts reach over 30 feet in length and weigh up to 12,000 pounds. They will eat anything they can and use a variety of hunting tactics to do it. The are known for working together to deploy these hunts and make sure that they all get fed.

One of their cool hunting tricks is to actually beach themselves. They will spot out unsuspecting prey on a beach and ride a wave in forcing themselves up on land in hopes of catching a meal.

Usually, they do this to catch a seal or another beach creature, but these folks may have been the target.

A bunch of people are seen enjoying the day and waves as they play close to shore. A wave rolls in and so do a couple of killer whales. People go running to make sure they are no where close to the beasts. Talk about a scare as people grab children ad head for dry ground.

That was a little too close for comfort.
