And the crowd goes…mild.
NASCAR already struck out with fans once this week when it was announced that Walker Hayes would be headlining the Saturday night infield concert ahead of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
But surely they’ll get somebody better for All-Star weekend, right? Right?!
Well, North Wilkesboro Speedway just announced the entertainment lineup for the annual event, and it was met by a collective: Who?
Warren Zeiders will be performing on Sunday, May 19 ahead of the All-Star Race, and apparently fans weren’t too impressed by the selection – mainly because nobody knew who he was:

Oh no, I’ve officially reached the age where I started asking who is this guy! I’ve never heard of him.

And they go on and on like that…
Of course Zeiders has had some success recently with his singles like “Ride the Lightning” and “Pretty Little Poison,” but you’ve gotta think that NASCAR could have found somebody who’s a better fit with their fanbase for one of the biggest events of the year.
Especially after Warren got such a…well, let’s say lukewarm…reaction when he performed the national anthem at the Big 12 championship just a few months ago.
Come on NASCAR, just give us Eric Church or Riley Green like everybody wants.
