Morgan Wallen Removes Demo Written With Post Malone & Ernest From Instagram After Fans Rip It Apart In The Comments

That didn’t take long…

In the wee hours of the morning (2AM to be exact), Morgan Wallen shared a clip of a demo on Instagram of a new song called “I Had Some Help,” with a caption indicating the title:

“I had some help.”

He also tagged producer/writer Charlie Handsome, in addition to Post Malone and Ernest, implying that they’re his co-writers on this one.

It was seemingly to announce that he and Post were legitimately working together, after they’d been spotted in the studio ahead of CMA week and even performed together on this show, but it didn’t go over quite so well.

After fans voiced their displeasure with the song in the comments section, it was quickly removed from Morgan’s account (most likely by someone on his team after seeing all the comments) and is no longer visible on his feed.

Of course, it’s kind of too late at this point, as many fans have already screen recorded the song and shared it all over social media, and you can listen to the clip from a Post Malone fan account on X (Twitter) here:

You can also read through some of the comments that were on the post below from our original article… they’re honestly not the worst I’ve seen on Instagram, but it’s safe to say many of Morgan’s fans weren’t really feeling this one.

And I know you can’t see it now, but there were a lot of positive comments too, though they certainly weren’t at the top of his feed:

“Not really feeling this one…”

“First Morgan song I haven’t liked.”

“Morgan bud what’s going on.”

“I don’t know how I feel about this ngl.”

“The editing is awful. He sounds robotic lol.”

“Cool collab but the song itself is so bad lmao.”

“Anyone else think this was a joke at first? Respectfully.”

“Can’t say I’m a fan of this song.”

“You’ve done better.”

“This sucks🔥🔥.”

“This ain’t it.”

“There’s still time to delete this bud.”

“Never release this 🔥🔥.”

“Needs a little work.”

I think this next comment was spot on, in that it was still a demo and likely will not sound exactly like this if and when it’s ever released.

In addition, like I said, it was probably posted mostly to build hype for whatever else Morgan and Post having coming next year:

“Y’all it’s a demo tape, everything will be mastered way before it releases if it does release… it’s clearly to build hype for a collab with Posty and show that [they’re] working on music.”

And as I mentioned in the previous post, I’m willing to give it a chance once it’s totally finished, but honestly, I was a little bit disappointed hearing that too.

You tend to hope for a lot more knowing the level all three of these artists are at, but like I said, it’s probably going to sound different when it’s done.

At this point, though, I’m not sure we’ll actually get to hear the finished product…

We do have confirmation that Post is also working on his own, original country album, so I’m hopeful that he’s saving the best songs for that and maybe even pulling in some help from his favorite writers and artists outside of Nashville, too.

You can also listen to his cover of Joe Diffie’s “Pickup Man,” which will be featured on Hardy’s forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3, and is currently an official single at country radio, here:
