The next round better be on Posty.
Post Malone has been taking over Nashville this week, after the superstar made his debut on the CMA Awards on Wednesday alongside Morgan Wallen and HARDY. He’s also been spotted in the studio with several artists, including Luke Combs, Brad Paisley and Ernest, and will be making his debut at country radio with his version of Joe Diffie’s hit “Pickup Man” from HARDY’s upcoming album, Hixtape Vol 3: Difftape.
Well apparently he also hit up Loser’s, one of the staple bars in Nashville, while he’s in town. And he racked up quite the tab – but the bar accidentally stuck somebody else with the bill.
Josh Terry, who hosts The Josh Terry Podcast, explained the hilarious (though I’m sure he didn’t think so at the time) mixup on TikTok.
According to Terry, he first realized something was wrong the next day when his card was declined at the gas pump. He then realized that he had a massive charge from Loser’s, along with the charge from his tab that he recognized.
Now, it wouldn’t be the first time that somebody’s been shocked from checking their bank account after a night out in Nashville. And Terry says they had a good time in Nashville, but he knows they didn’t have THAT good of a time.
Well he called the bar, and they explained what happened: Apparently Post Malone had a tab, but didn’t have a card. And when they saw the name on Terry’s card was for a studio, they assumed that card was for Post’s tab and ran it through again.
“They got all of his drinks somehow confused with my tab. I cashed out like at 11:36, and there was another charge right after there like at 11:37 for an ungodly amount of alcohol.”
Terry even posted part of his phone call with the manager of Loser’s, who explained the mixup as they both had a good laugh about it. And then he made an offer to Post:
“Posty, anytime you need me to buy a beer, I will. I would love to meet you. I’d love to buy you a beer. But your whole bar tab is excessive.”
Seems like the least Posty could do is buy this guy a drink…or $1000 worth of them.
