Here’s to the late, great Joe Diffie.

Post Malone, Hardy and Morgan Wallen took the stage at tonight’s CMA Awards to honor the country legend, with Morgan and Hardy singing a duet of “John Deere Green.”

Then, they welcomed Posty to the CMA Awards for a rousing rendition of Diffie’s 1994 hit “Pickup Man,” which, as it turns out, it will be the lead single from Hardy’s forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3: DIFFTAPE (Small Batch) EP:

Post Malone more than held his own up there, and seeing as he’s known for absolutely crushing all kinds of country covers, this was no different.

He looked like he was having the time of his life, and he definitely stole the show, in my opinion (he comes on around the 2:20 mark):

Posty was also pictured in town this week working with Luke Combs, Brad Paisley, Ernest and more, so I haven’t given up hope that he might do a real deal country project of his own… hopefully, this is just him “dipping his toes in the water,” so to speak.

I mean, we NEED it:

Oh, and they’re also officially sending the “Pickup Man” cover as a single to country radio…

You can listen to the full studio version of it here:
