The Phillies have to have the most electric locker room in the MLB this postseason.
After their NL wild card win over the Miami Marlins, the Philadelphia Phillies celebrated in the clubhouse with what’s become their yearly postseason tradition, “Dicked Down In Dallas,” while being interviewed by ESPN.
Well last night, the Phillies moved on to the NLCS after a surprising 3-1 series win over the Atlanta Braves. And once again the beer was flowing in the locker room, and the country music was cranked up. Except this time, it was “Dixieland Delight.”
Now, most country fans are familiar with the “other lyrics” to the classic Alabama hit. Popularized by University of Alabama fans but adjusted by other teams to fit whatever situation they need, it goes something like this:

Well the Phillies broke out their own version of the song after the series win against the Braves:

Although this isn’t the first time that Alabama’s hit has been played in the Phillies locker room…
I don’t really have a dog in the hunt for the World Series, but at this point I’m cheering for the Phillies just because they obviously love country music and they definitely know how to party.
