It seems like Parker McCollum has a new song coming very soon.

He’s played a few unreleased tracks at different live shows recently, and just posted a teaser of the studio version of one called “Handle On You” over on TikTok that sounds great.

He uses the clever play on words to detail how he’s drinking to get over a heartbreak and trying to get a handle on his emotions through the bottom of a bottle.

Parker released his third studio album Gold Chain Cowboy just last year, but I have to say, I’m excited to hear this new on in its entirety in the near future:

And he stopped by the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast several weeks back, where he noted that they didn’t have an exact release date for the new tune quite yet, but that it would be coming by the end of the summer at the absolute latest:

“I would say much sooner than later, I can’t say exactly yet, ‘cuz I honestly don’t know, I’m not trying to hide anything.

I don’t actually know the date, but hopefully by the end of the summer I would say at the very, very latest. Probably a lot sooner than that.”

I have a feeling it will be a lot sooner than that… at least I hope so.

While you’re here, make sure you check out the whole conversation with Parker, but the part about new music starts around the 15:54 mark:
