Morgan Wallen is sending his next single to country radio after the fan-favorite “Sand In My Boots” went #1 last week.
“Wasted On You” is officially headed to country radio, and it’s set to impact on March 7th:
Morgan wrote the song with his friend and “Flower Shops” collaborator Ernest, as well as Ryan Votjesak and Josh Thompson.
He previously said it was likely to be the next single off his record breaking 2021 double album Dangerous (in addition to it being his personal favorite), and last week it already re-entered the Billboard Country Airplay chart at #55:
“Wasted On You” has already topped the Hot Country Chart (which includes streaming and digital sales, as well as radio play), but if it goes #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart (solely based on radio play), or the Mediabase chart, it would become Morgan’s 6th career #1 at country radio.
They shoulda sent the Dangerous Sessions acoustic version, though:
