Love me some Drake White.
One of the most underappreciated artists in the game right now, the Alabama native brings some serious soul to his particular brand of country music.
A little bit Appalachia, a little bit Muscle Shoals, with flavors of Gospel and southern rock, Drake White is a powerful vocalist and fantastic live performer. He has released a handful of albums of the years with his most recent projects being his 2020 Stars EP, and a pair of two-song EPs this past year.
But today, we’re here with a cover of one of my all-time favorite songs…
“Stone” by Whiskey Myers.
Released on their 2016 Mud record, “Stone” has become a fan favorite among Whiskey Myers’ loyal supporters (and apparently Drake White), and has even been featured on the popular Paramount Network series, Yellowstone.
If you get the chance to see Whiskey Myers live (TAKE IT), you’re gonna hear fans belting this one to the rafters.
