College Football Is BACK

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

When the month of July comes to an end, and the page gets turned to August, a 31-day transformation begins. The kids are going back to school, families are returning from vacation, lake goers are trying to squeeze just a few more weekends out of summer, and college athletes are transitioning out of off-season workouts and into fall camp.

The fraternities and sororities at all of your favorite universities are competing to get the best pledge classes, the guys on TV start to break down who they think will compete with Alabama to win the SEC championship, and the marching bands that we all know and love are almost done fine tuning their fight songs and halftime shows. It seems as if everyone is in some sort of state of preparation, and rightfully so.

That’s right. It’s college football season.

So grab your cooler and cue up your tailgate playlist. It is time to let it rip.

We’ve been waiting countless months for this moment, and the first slate of college football games are here.

Regardless of if your team plays on what we like to call “Week Zero,” it is still a valid reason to celebrate. Bonfires, tailgate drinking games, full stadiums, cool weather (depending on your location) and loud ass music. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Week Zero, slated for Saturday, August 28th, consists of 5 college football games, and there’s some big time schools taking the field.

– Nebraska (-7) at Illinois – 1 PM EST on FOX
– UConn at Fresno State (-27.5) – 2 PM EST on CBSSN
– Hawai’i at UCLA (-18) – 3:30 PM EST on ESPN
– UTEP (-9) at New Mexico State – 9:30 PM EST
– Southern Utah at San Jose State (-21.5) – 10:00 PM EST on CBSSN

College Football. All. Day. Long.
