Bravo.
The Grammys managed to find a couple minutes to honor the late, great John Prine during last night’s ceremony (the CMAs sure as hell didn’t), but thanks to a touching tribute performance from Brandi Carlile, it did not disappoint.
Carlile, who won an award earlier in the evening for Best Country Song with Crowded Table,” performed John’s “I Remember Everything,” one of the last songs he ever recorded.
The performance was part of an “In Memoriam” segment that also featured nods to Kenny Rogers, Charlie Pride, Little Richard, Charlie Daniels, Tony Rice, Bill Withers, Jerry Jeff Walker, Eddie Van Halen and more.
