The country music community lost another member if its family this week.
Mac Davis, the well-known songwriter that has penned tunes for Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash and more, passed away on Tuesday night following a heart surgery. He was 78 years old.
Fellow country singers shared their condolences with a various tributes on social media. Dolly called Mac “one of the world’s greatest writers, singers and entertainers.” Jake Owen and Kenny Chesney both expressed heartbreak for their friend.
