Matthew McConaughey Watches His ‘Dazed & Confused’ Audition For The First Time Ever

Absolutely ICONIC.

McConaughey got his big break in the 1993 cult classic Dazed And Confused, a coming of age tale about that pivotal time in high school when you’re trying to figure out your place in the social hierarchy.

And to this day, some of the most iconic catch-phrases and lines of McConaughey’s entire career were in that very first movie. Lines like “alright, alright, alright” and “it’d be a lot cooler if you did,” the “high school girls” line… all of them.

He recently watched that audition for the very first time, the audition that sparked his career… the audition that was supposed to be a summer job:

“Man, that was 1992, 28 years ago… you thought you might just have a little 3-day job for a summer hobby… and 28 years later, I still got a little summer job that turned into a career.”

And the rest was history.
