Bud Light Officially Launches Area 51 Space Beer

Gotta love Bud Light. They’re always going the extra mile.

Back in July, Bud Light promised free beer for any aliens who managed to escape Area 51 during the “storming,” which has since been canceled on account of the government’s postion more than willing to kill anybody that tried to break into the top secret Air Force research facility. Bud also promised to create a limited-edition alien beer if their tweet received 51K retweets. While the tweet fell just short of 51K RTs, they decided to release it anyways.

“The way we see it, we’d much rather people crack open a crisp Bud Light with alien visitors rather than storm Area 51. Nothing says we come in peace like sharing a beer with friends from another place or another galaxy. We promised to have beer waiting for any alien that wants it and we plan to deliver on that promise. Our hope is that humans stock up too because you never know when you might need some Bud Lights to welcome intergalactic neighbors.”

Starting today, the new black and green Area 51 cans will be available in NevadaArizona, and California, with the possibility for other states down the road… hopefully?

Bud Light also created a specialty fridge, stocked with Bud Light alien cans, featuring an alien finger scanner as the only means of actually opening it. So if you happen to stumble upon the alien beer fridge, you better have an alien buddy with you to open it.

Because no matter what planet you’re from, everybody loves to get drunk. God bless it.
