Megan Moroney is taking her new singles to the stage.
The “Georgia Girl” has been teasing that she is nearly done with her second record, but based on her performances this weekend at Two Step Inn, it seems as though it might be completed. Moroney hit the stage performing her highly anticipated next single, “Indifferent,” which is slated to be released on May 3rd.
While I am beyond ready to hear “Indifferent” on streaming platforms, this unreleased track might become my new favorite from Moroney. The track seemingly titled “Man On The Moon”
The cheeky single talks about how horrible a man was to her, and she wants him to be as far away from her as possible, even if that man is putting him on a different planet.
“I don’t mean to be dramatic
Yeah, but he’s the kind of man
I’d like 100,000 miles from here
Cause he wants me, but he needs space
Someone take this cowboy away
Somewhere far, let him fly
Out of this world, and off my mind
There’s gotta be a rocket somewhere takin’ off soon
I think it’s time we put another man on the moon…”
Clearly, Moroney is moving on from her emo cowgirl phase into her “I hate men” phase, and I am here for it. I hope we get the studio cut of this one sooner rather than later.
