Post Malone…GIVE US WHAT WE WANT.

We are still begging for Posty to drop his country music. After teasing what has been in the works with Morgan Wallen, fans are on their hands and knees, asking him to drop it. Although I might take a wild guess that the date could be pushed back given recent events with Wallen…if you don’t know what I’m referring to…just click here.

Post Malone does look like he is back in the studio having fun with some of country music’s classics. He shared on his social media today that he was putting his thickest twang on Garth Brook’s “Friends In Low Places.”

The snippet highlights Malone reaching low in his range to hit the growly notes of the chorus. The notes are lower than Malone’s typical range, and after he messes around with those notes a little bit, he brings the song up a few octaves to a tone that better suits him.

“Think I’ll slip on down to the oasis.”

Wonder if Post Malone is versed on where Garth keeps the bodies…

It seems as though all of these teasers are a mix of previously recorded country songs along with some originals, so I can’t help but wonder if a mega album is in the works. Post Malone has really leaned into the country side of his sound recently, performing quite a bit more content from the genre instead of his rap music.

He’s has also teased a song on social media with Luke Combs, which appears to be called “Missin’ You Like This”:

Until Post gives us a date or unveils some information about this project, we can keep these teaser clips on repeat or loop his performance from the CMA Awards. I hope we get an announcement sooner rather than later.
