Post Malone’s country album is getting closer by the day.

The pop superstar has been teasing original country music for a few weeks now, recently posting a clip of a song with Luke Combs seemingly called “Missin’ You Like This”:

And today, Posty shared the studio mix of a song that features another country superstar in Morgan Wallen.

Morgan had actually teased it before, and the song was written by Morgan along with Post and Ernest, though the fan reaction was not good at all and the video was removed several hours after it was posted, though you can still listen to that version on a fan account HERE.

I’m guessing that was the demo version and they decided to go back and rework it some after the aforementioned fan reaction, but this definitely sounds better. Also, it can be tricky when artists share demos because the final product usually sounds so much different, as is the case here, and fans will either completely love it or hate it, usually.

Honestly, the production and lyrics on this tune would fit right in on Morgan’s 2023 One Thing At A Time album, so it makes sense that he would be featured (in addition to the fact that he’s one of the writers).

And it sounds like seemingly heard the fans loud and clear about how much they disliked the first version, because Posty sharing the clip of him jamming out to it along with a caption that says this is the “real mix”:

“let’s go with the real mix this time Morgan 😂.”

When whatever this project is finally comes out, Post Malone isn’t messing around and knows exactly what he’s doing by getting two of the biggest stars in the genre to be part of it. You can listen to the song here:

Post previously performed at the the CMA Awards with Morgan Wallen and Hardy last year, covered Joe Diffie’s “Pickup Man” for Hardy’s forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3, which is currently an official single at country radio.

Out of all the pop stars trying to “go country” right now, Post Malone is easily the one I’ve been most excited about, so here’s to hoping it’s worth all of the hype… because I really want it to be.
