Could this be a new song from Post Malone’s rumored country album?

The rapper and longtime country music fan has hinted, and pretty much said, that he’s working on an album full of originals, and we already know that he’s enlisted the help of some of Nashville’s best writers in Ernest and Luke Combs (among others, like Morgan Wallen).

Posty actually teased a song he collaborated with Combs on back in February, so it feels like we’re getting close to some sort of announcement in 2024 that will likely be the beginning of his country era:

And this morning, Post shared a teaser of a new song seemingly titled “Missin’ You Like This,” which doesn’t exactly sound like an old Willie Nelson deep cut, but isn’t totally in line with Posty’s rap and pop stuff, either.

It’s hard to say exactly if this is for the country project or something else because it’s a really short clip of the song, but seeing as that’s what he’s been spending a lot of time working on lately, it feels like this is probably one of his country songs and I’m excited to hear the full thing because I love pretty much anything he does:

Post previously performed at the the CMA Awards with Morgan Wallen and Hardy last year, covered Joe Diffie’s “Pickup Man” for Hardy’s forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3, which is currently an official single at country radio.

Morgan Wallen had actually teased a different song before that he penned with Post and Ernest, though the fan reaction was not good at all and the video was removed several hours after it was posted, though you can still listen to it on a fan account HERE.

Out of all the pop stars trying to “go country” right now, Post Malone is easily the one I’ve been most excited about, so here’s to hoping it’s worth all of the hype… because I really want it to be.
