Jell Roll continues to rack up country music awards, and I think everyone is fine with it as long as he keeps bringing this kind of energy to his acceptance speeches.

There might not be a more unique story than Jelly Roll’s, who transformed his rap and hip-hop music into a dazzling, incredibly successful and genuine country career. He won “New Artist of the Year” at the 2023 CMA Awards, and absolutely cleaned house at the 2023 CMT Awards, winning three awards thanks to his hit song “Son of a Sinner.”

Some debate whether or not he’s “really country,” and that’s fine. But no one is debating whether or not the man can make you run through a brick wall with his award acceptance speeches. And it all started with his ELECTRIC “New Artist of the Year” acceptance speech at the 2023 CMA’s.

No one can give an inspiring, fiery, can-I-get-a-hell-yeah speech like Jelly Roll can. Anytime he goes up on stage to accept an award, he absolutely brings it. And that streak continued tonight, when he went up to say a few words after being announced as the winner of the “CMT Performance of the Year.”

Check it out:

Jelly Roll could easily be a televangelist. He’s already made one career shift, and he could do it again if he really wanted to.

Oh, and while he was at it, Jason Bradley DeFord (A.K.A. Jelly Roll) also took home the award for “Male Video of the Year.” And did he tone down his second acceptance speech any because he had already went all out in the first one? I could answer that question, but it’s best you just take a look at his second speech of the night for yourself:

The answer was, “No, he somehow brought even more energy” in case you were wondering.

Social media loved both of his speeches, and made sure to send out their support for Jelly Roll and his latest wins at the CMT Awards:
