Jelly Roll is your CMA New Artist of the Year award winner.

And he might’ve just given the best awards show acceptance speech of all time…

After thanking his label, team, fellow nominees in Megan Moroney, Hailey Whitters, Parker McCollum and Zach Bryan, and of course his wife Bunnie for all of her support over the years, he got real fired up with the rest of the speech.

I’ll be honest, it had me ready to run through a brick wall.

My favorite line was when he reminded fans watching all over the world that there’s “something poetic about 39-year old man winning New Artist of theYear,” especially knowing his story of going in and out of jail as a youth and coming from nothing to even be nominated for a CMA:

“There is something poetic about 39-year old man winning New Artist of theYear.

I don’t know where you’re at in your life or what you’re going through, but I wanna tell you to keep going, baby. I wanna tell you success is on the other side of it.

I wanna tell you it’s gonna be okay. I wanna tell you that the windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror for a reason, because what’s in front of you is so much more important than what’s behind you. Let’s party Nashville!”

LET’S GO, Jelly.

And congratulations, I couldn’t think of amore genuine or inspiring person in the genre taking home the award:
