Colt Ford, born Jason Farris Brown, needs our thoughts and prayers right now.

The singer, songwriter, rapper, and retired professional golfer (yes, you read that right) suffered a severe heart attack last night after taking the stage at the Gilbert, Arizona, location of Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.

Ford was transported to the Intensive Care Unit at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, to receive care after the attack.

Just this week, Ford appeared on the Ten Year Town podcast, talking about his dear friend Toby Keith. He appeared to be in good spirits and good health.

The Athens, Georgia, native is a decorated singer and songwriter, most known for writing and recording “Dirt Road Anthem” with Brantley Gilbert, which later became a mega-hit for Jason Aldean. Declaration of Independence and Thanks for Listening, two of his most well-known albums, debuted in the top 10 on Billboard.

We hope that Ford makes a full recovery and are keeping him and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Get well soon.
