Her team may have lost, but the internet is there for her…

#3-seed Kentucky went down in the first major upset of March Madness, losing to #14-seed Oakland on the back of an insane 10 3-pointers from Jack Gohlke. And while most of the internet was happy to see the Wildcats lose (especially because the SEC is now 0-3 in the tournament, with all three losses coming to lower seeded teams), one Kentucky fan won the hearts of men everywhere.

The woman was shown after the game looking understandably disappointed. But the internet was quick to offer to cheer her up…

Some have identified the mystery woman as Madison Sheppard Wigginton, the sister of freshman Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard and a basketball player herself, having played for Campbellsville University in their home state of Kentucky.

Of course this happens pretty much every year when an attractive girl is shown during a sporting event.

Remember the Peach Bowl girl from a couple years ago?

Or this Tulane fan from the Cotton Bowl?

Well, looks like now we have our first viral fan of March Madness: The sad Kentucky girl.
