Moving down the the depth chart…

After the success of the Netflix series Quarterback, the streaming giant is ready to give NFL fans another look behind the curtain, this time at some of the NFL’s greatest wide receivers.

Quarterback dove deep into the lives of Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota, and Patrick Mahomes during the 2022 NFL season, and Receiver will follow suit with the likes of Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions.

The footage was captured during the past season (2023) and the 8-episode series is set to premier this summer.

Gabe Spitzer, vice president, nonfiction sports, Netflix says:

“The natural progression is from a pass to a catch, so we’re excited to dive into the ‘Receiver’ world after the success of our ‘Quarterback’ series. NFL Films, Omaha Productions and 2PM Productions have delivered again in finding unique and dynamic athletes who will further highlight the drama of this sport on and off the field.”

Peyton Manning adds:

“We are excited to be working again with Netflix and NFL Films to give fans unprecedented access to what it’s like to play receiver at the highest level, As we did with ‘Quarterback,’ we look forward to telling the stories of five incredible receivers, each with their unique personality, skillset and motivation for what drives them to be the best.”
