Kacey Musgraves is one of us.

She’s gearing up to release her fourth major label studio album Deeper Well, which will be out everywhere on March 15th, and she recently launched a new collaboration with the candle brand Boy Smells, creating a scent to go along with the record.

At the launch party in New York City, Kacey was interview by comedian and podcast host Hannah Berner, who asked her a few great questions, like what her new morning routine is, considering in the title track to her aforementioned new album Kacey admits that she no longer “wakes and bakes.”

Kacey gave a hilarious, and all-too-relatable, answer, saying:

“Wallowing in my sorrow, regretting every decisions I’ve ever ****** made, cuddling with my dog, warm lemon water. That’s next. I do it some days, and I feel good about myself.”

They also talked about guilty pleasures, and Kacey admitted she’s recently gotten into the hit Paramount series Yellowstone:

“I don’t know if I believe in a guilty pleasure, can they just be pleasures? I got really into ‘Yellowstone.'”

Hannah stated the obvious to follow that up, calling head Dutton Kevin Costner a “zaddy” (which just means a hot guy older than you for anyone unfamiliar with the term), and Kacey said what all of us are thinking when it comes to all of the Dutton men:

“He actually is. That Dutton energy, throw it down.”

To drive Kacey’s point home, as we continue to await the fate of Season 5, this never gets old:

And because I’m a Kayce Dutton girl myself, and the actor who plays him (Luke Grimes) recently launched a country music career, I’m hopeful we could potentially get a collab from the two artists one day… I think Kacey would certainly be on board:

But let’s be honest, you can’t wrong with any of them, so I’ll leave you with this highlight reel of the one and only (honorary Dutton) Rip Wheeler, an easy fan-favorite on the series and quite easy on the eyes, too…

With the second half of season 5 not coming out until November, now is a great time to catch up on the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, which are streaming on Paramount+. Don’t be worried about blindly signing up for another streaming service as you can get a 7 day free trial here to test the waters, but trust me, you’re going to love all they have to offer.
