I’ll never forget watching the Netflix docuseries Formula 1: Drive to Survive, and immediately finding myself hooked on Formula 1 racing, and I’d never watched a race before in my life.

I just remember thinking to myself:

“Man, if Netflix did a series like this about NASCAR, it would be perfection.”

And sure enough, my wishes have been granted, as Netflix has announced NASCAR: Full Speed, from the creators of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

The first teaser is officially out:

“When you’re at the racetrack, the overall sensory experience, the way it sounds, is intoxicating… If you’re a race car driver, you have the opportunity to get hurt or killed – but you do it anyway. Think about what a bada** that is.”

The show documents the 2023 Cup Series playoffs, featuring the likes of Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick. It will feature access to the drivers on and off the track, giving us all a peak into their personal lives during the most challenging points of the NASCAR season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is an executive producer for the docuseries, and told PEOPLE:

“The intensity of elimination format in the NASCAR playoffs is unlike anything else in motorsports… NASCAR: Full Speed provides an incredible opportunity for folks to learn more about how this sport works, who these drivers are as people and competitors, and what makes them the best in the world at what they do.”

Gets my blood pumping just thinking about it.
