“He’s A Handsome Dude” – Patriots WR JuJu Smith-Schuster Struggles To Find Anything Good To Say About New Starting QB Bailey Zappe

It’s been a brutal year for the New England Patriots, to say the least. The Pats are currently 2-8, and are arguably the worst team Bill Belichick has ever coached. In fact, the season is so far gone that they’ve gone into full-on tank mode, as they search for a high first round pick for next season.

Not to mention, the product on the field has just been nothing short of terrible. The Pats have an OK defense, and an absolutely atrocious offense that would have a hard time scoring against a 12-and-under Pop Warner team.

Starting quarterback Mac Jones is having his worst season in the NFL yet, and has ultimately been benched by second year quarterback Bailey Zappe ahead of this Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers…  and it isn’t like Zappe is a world beater or anything. Jones has just been that bad, and it’s time to give somebody else the keys to the offense.

But speaking of Zappe, a handful of his teammates have been asked this week about their thoughts on their new starting QB, and one of those teammates was wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster. And boy, Juju had some rather… well… strange things to say about Zappe.

When asked about the QB he responded simply:

“He’s a handsome dude. He plays very well.”

I mean sheesh… not many good things to say about him, eh? This was all he could muster up?

Needless to say, Juju’s comments about sum up the 2023 season for the Patriots.
