You never know who you’re going to see out and about in Music City.

Pretty much everybody comes to Nashville hoping to get a sighting of their favorite country singer. And for Lainey Wilson fans, they got their opportunity this week when the singer made an unexpected appearance on Broadway.

As the band onstage, featuring local singer Jennie Wynn, covered Lainey’s chart-topping hit “Heart Like a Truck” at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Lainey herself appeared by the stage, much to the surprise of the crowd at the iconic Nashville honky tonk.

Lainey then took the stage herself to toast to the fans, and invite them to her event later that evening with Lone River Ranch Water.

Obviously the afternoon crowd at Tootsie’s was loving the surprise appearance – and Lainey seemed to enjoy hearing a band cover her hit song too.

The country music superstar is on an absolute rocketship right now, with her song “Watermelon Moonshine” recently becoming her fifth career #1 at country radio with the fastest climb to the top of the charts for a female artist since 2016.

And when she’s not selling out her own tour, Lainey’s opening up for Luke Combs on his stadium world tour, along with performing some dates with Eric Church on his recently-wrapped Outsiders Revival Tour. Oh, and she’s also in the hit TV show Yellowstone.

It’s a great time to be Lainey Wilson right now, but the other day at Tootsie’s, it was a great day for her fans who happened to be there too.
