I think I can speak for a lot of dudes out there when I say we’ve all had a crush on actress Salma Hayek. Whether it’s been ongoing for years, or you’re young enough to only appreciate her beauty more recently, she is in the elite company of women like Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez who have aged like a fine wine.
Incase the name doesn’t initially ring a bell for you young bucks, I’m talking about Adam Sandler’s smoke show of a wife in Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2. Of course, the rest of us know her from films like Desperado, Wild Wild West, Frida, and the most recent season of Black Mirror.
However, I was today years old when I discovered that the woman is 57-years-old, and she still looks as good as she did 20 years ago.
Many may ask, “how does a 57-year-old look that good?”
Well, lucky for us, she’s giving the inside scoop…
And here’s the kicker, it’s not diet and exercise… she’s owing it to spiritual meditation.
Hayek told Entertainment Tonight in an interview:
“I really believe it is. People say it’s exercising. I think it’s meditation.
You have to find your way. For me, exercising is hard. It’s really, really difficult to have the discipline to do it. But meditation is a walk in the park, because it’s my own form of it.
When I don’t for some time, guess what? Not only the face starts to drop and everything starts to drop, but my herniated disc, the problem in my neck, the problem in my hip, my ankles. I start breaking down.”
She also noted that she practices it “every day” and uses it to “sit in a moment with yourself.”
So, for all of the women out there who want to have the body of an immortal goddess, don’t hit the gym, just meditate once a day.
Man, who knew life was that easy.
