Can you name that ’90s country tune?

If you’re not familiar with Chapel Hart, the trio from Mississippi made up of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, along with their cousin Trea Swindle, are quickly making a name for themselves in country music with their oversized personalities and incredible country sound.

The trio got their start busking on the streets of New Orleans, and eventually appeared on America’s Got Talent back in 2022, earning a golden buzzer with their incredible voices and original song “You Can Have Him Jolene.”

Since then, the band’s released a full-length album Glory Days, and this year they’re a member of the Grand Ole Opry‘s Opry NextStage class of 2023.

I was immediately drawn to Chapel Hart by their infectious energy and hilarious personalities, but make no mistake: Their music is real deal country, and their vocals and harmonies are as good as it goes.

And one thing I noticed throughout their music is their respect for classic country music, from their response to Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene” to “Welcome to Fist City,” their Loretta Lynn-approved rewrite of her anthemic “Fist City.”

So when I had the opportunity to hang out with Chapel Hart before a recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, I had to know: How much do they know about ’90s country?

The result was one of the best times I’ve ever had with an artist as we played a hilarious game of “Name That Tune: ’90s Country Edition.”

Not only did Chapel Hart show off their impressive knowledge of ’90s country music, but they were also an absolute blast to hang out with and just as hilarious in person as they are on stage or on TV.

From Devynn calling “Strawberry Wine” the “Let’s Get It On” of ’90s country, to Trea literally jumping out of her seat at one of the answers, the whole thing is a must-watch – and just proves that Chapel Hart are the real damn deal.

(Oh, and we also learned that Trea is a BIG Alan Jackson fan – because as she put it, she knows her baby’s music).
