If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you know that ending the night singing karaoke at Santa’s Pub is pretty much the only way to go.
The smoky bar sits outside of downtown Nashville, kind of in the middle of nowhere, in a doublewide trailer. The cramped bar only serves beer and is covered with Christmas decorations. And at 2am, the dive bar is the perfect place to wrap up your night in Music City.
Even if that night included performing a concert at Nissan Stadium.
Ed Sheeran was in Nashville this weekend for his Subtract tour, playing in front of a record-breaking crowd at the stadium.
But it seems like he wasn’t quite ready to put down the microphone when the show ended. Because later that night, Sheeran showed up at Santa’s Pub to sing some karaoke, laying down covers of the Backstreet Boys and serenading a newly-married couple who was there celebrating their wedding with his own “Thinking Out Loud.”
Sheeran even jumped behind the bar and handed out some of those cheap beers that Santa’s is famous for, explaining in a video that when he lived in Nashville, Santa’s Pub was his go-to hangout spot.
“When I lived in Nashville in 2013, I used to go to this karaoke caravan called Santa’s. It only does $1 PBR and does karaoke and it’s the best. And he’s made a t-shirt with my face on it, and we’re going there tonight.”
Looks like a hell of a time.
