Coming to a country radio station near you.

Dierks Bentley is officially sending “Something Real,” from his tenth studio album Gravel & Gold, to country radio as a single.

Written by Dierks along with Ross Copperman, Michael Hardy, Ashley Gorley and Luke Dick on a writing retreat in Colorado, Dierks says that it was inspired by the longing many of us have to look for something more than what’s on the surface and the search for finding real, genuine connection:

“I think we are all seeking something a little deeper than what’s on the surface, the things we see on social media.

For me, that looks like putting my phone down, getting out in nature with my family, writing songs with my friends… doing the things where I find real connection.

There is always a little hesitation about putting a new song in the set, but it’s sounding so good live and I appreciate the fans who already know it and are singing it back to us.”

The production on this one features some beautiful pedal steel, mandolin and banjo, and was a solid choice from his aforementioned record that I think will do well at country radio.

Dierks is also gearing up for a pretty sweet gig hosting the 2023 NHL Awards on Monday, June 26th.
